Per Diems Partners With MLB Players to Strike Out Hunger

Per Diems Against Poverty co-founders, Brittany Hodak and Jennifer Barker, appeared on a special CBS This Morning segment today to talk about their organization, their partnership with professional athletes such as Curtis Granderson, who is also featured in the segment, as well as their goal of providing 10 million meals for Americans struggling with hunger by the end of 2016. This number may sound like a lofty goal; however, given the higher than average per diems provided to professional athletes and entertainers while traveling and through our partnership with Feeding America food banks, our goal will be reached when only 100 professional baseball players pledge their per diems for the 2016 season.
